Dear U-9 Boys Academy Families,

We are in the process of determining our rosters for the Fall 2011 season for the U-10 Boys Academy.  The only way to ensure that your son will be guaranteed a space on our roster is if you go ahead and officially register him on the MUSC website ASAP.  We would like to confirm that we cannot roster any of our current U9 boys who are not officially registered – so PLEASE GO AHEAD AND REGISTER YOU SON!!!

1.  If you would like for your son to join the U-10 Academy, simply visit the link below to register him and his place will be secured.

Registration Procedure

If you know that your son will be joining the U-10 Boys Academy and you want to assure your son his spot, you must formally log in to your account and register your child at:

Click on the U-10 Boys Academy tryout option (your son does not need to tryout because the coaches know them from U9 but that is the option that was given on the website for our returning families to register for the U10 program).

2.  If you know that your son will not be joining the U-10 Boys Academy, we ask that you please notify us ASAP directly confirming that your son will not be returning for U-10.

IMPORTANT 2011 FALL U10 REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

Dear U-9 Boys Academy Families,

As our season is coming to an end, we hope that your boys enjoyed their U-9 Boys Academy experience and that your family has enjoyed being part of our community.  I think that I speak for the U-9 parent Directors and our Red Bulls’ coaches when I say that it has been a joy watching our U-9 boys develop and hone their soccer skills in practice and apply the skills learned in the competitive arena of travel soccer.  We are all very proud of how our boys have thrived and want to continue our momentum forward as we transition into U-10 travel soccer in the fall. 

Unless you tell us otherwise, we will consider all of our current U9 players for next year’s U10 group.

Summer Program Update

Hi Everyone,

We just got word that we need to cancel our proposed summer program. We are all eager to keep our young, active boys engaged in soccer over the summer and our parents collectively came up with the alternative “plan B” which is an even less costly summer program coached by parents 1-2 evenings a week with some tournaments built in. We have already secured a field I believe for a M/W evening timeslot. We will communicate more detailed information about this summer program as soon as everything is confirmed.

We still need to iron out a few details and welcome any suggestions/input that would help move this program forward.

Outdoor Training for the week of June 6th

Dear MUSC U-9 Boys Academy Families,

Outdoor Training for the week of June 6th:

Ø Training will take place tomorrow, Monday, June 6th  and will be held from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at the Brookdale Park Stadium:http://www.essexcountynj.org/p/parks/sites/maps/BROOKDALE.pdf

***Our coaches will make themselves available after practice tomorrow, Monday, 6/6  to speak with parents about this past season.***

Ø Training will also take place this Wednesday, June 8^th and will be held from 4:00pm – 5:30pm at the Brookdale Park Stadium  

Ø The optional small-sided scrimmage will take place this Friday, June 10^th and will be held from 4:00pm – 5:15pm at the Brookdale Park Stadium.

Reminders for All Outdoor training sessions -  'Look like a soccer player, feel like a soccer player'

Ø  Soccer shirt (the blue MUSC shirt from the fall), soccer shorts (the white shorts from the fall), long soccer socks worn OVER shin pads and soccer cleats.  Please feel free to have your boys put on layers if it is cool (i.e. put the blue MUSC shirt over a sweatshirt) and to wear sweatpants instead of shorts.

Ø Please bring plenty of cold water for your child and/or sports drinks.
