extra training opportunity

We are considering an optional training opportunity for those who wish to have more professionally guided development. This would be cheaper than going to an outside training organization for one of their 'elite' programs. Players will get more focused instruction on technique. For example, a session focusing on non-dominant foot skills.

Day/Time/Place: Fridays, 4:30 to 5:30, Brookdale Stadium

Duration 10 weeks

Estimated costs will depend on the number of players and will range between $125 for 6 players to $70 for 12 players.

In addition to this, we will have Saturday morning small sided games 10:30 to 12 as another opportunity to play. The Saturday small sided games are already part of the training program and do not have additional costs.

We have an invitation from a team in Bloomfield to have a friendly game this Saturday, 10am-11:30. The match would be on their Foley field.

I know this is short notice but this is an impromptu opportunity.

Outdoor practice starts March 20

Spring training starts March 20.

Tuesday, 20 March, 5:30 to 7:00 in Brookdale Stadium

Thursday, 22 March, 4:00 to 5:30 in Brookdale Meadow

There will be goalie training available on Friday afternoons, more information to follow

We will try to get small sided games scheduled for Saturday mornings at 10, more information to follow.

Please let me know if you are going to be there for the summer select tryout: March 10th, 9:30 to 11:00.

Summer Training & Tournaments

This summer we will have a training program: train 2 evenings per week + 3 to 5 weekend tournaments. It runs mid June to end of July.

There will be a tryout. We want to be inclusive so that anyone who wants to train can. We will have room for 16-18 players. We also want to bring in kids from outside the current group since we need to expand for next year as we shift to 11 per side games.

The tryout will be Saturday March 10th from 9:30 to 11 at Pittser field on Montclair University's campus (behind the Red Hawk parking deck).

Please let us know if 1) yes/no you are interested in the summer program and 2) can you make it for the tryout.

Tournaments would include 4 games over two days.
